Browning Model 1910
Today for Gus’ Gear I have another Browning design that played a prominent roll in WWI. The Browning Model 1910, chambered for the .38 caliber cartridge was used by Gavrilo Princip to assassinate Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie in Sarajevo, Serbia in June of 1914 which was the flash point needed to start the Great War. The example presented is the smaller 7,65mm version. It is a simple blow back design similar to the Browning Model 1900. These were available as a private purchase weapon in every county in Europe.
