A Mini Chain with a Hohenzollern.

A Mini Chain with a Hohenzollern.

Today, I will be showing another Miniature Medal Chain with a few new “Minis” entering in my collection. Unfortunately, this time it is not a Bavarian one. Still, I am looking for new “Minis” from that great German State.

The “Miniaturkette” has the following decorations:
– Eisernes Kreuz II Klasse.
– Hohenzollern Kreuz der Ritter mit Schwertern.
– Ehrenkreuz 1914 – 1918.
– Verwundetenabzeichen Schwarz.

Starting with the last one, it was really usual to see this type of decoration in the Mini Chains. In fact, we will see very oft all of decorations of a person in the chains from the version from 1957, from Infantry Badges to arm badges and so on. It was also normal to add the Eisernes Kreuz I Klasse in the chain.

And now back to the Miniaturkette, we are talking about an Officer, who may have served in the 76th Infantry Regiment from Hamburg. Or may have be born in that state and served in a different Prussian Regiment. It could also be from an Officer of the Kaiserliche Marine. It is very complicated to say, because the number of combinations . The only thing, that we know for sure is, that he got injured during the war. Just because this “Abzeichen”, it makes more sense, that he was an Infantry Officer (or artillery) rather than one from the Marine.

So little less more to say about it. It is a lovely Miniaturkette, where the chain itself, is not an impressive one, in comparison, with what I have shown here before, but definitely, the decorations are really good made.

So, looking for more. Of course.
