Another “Miniaturkette” from Sachsen.

Another “Miniaturkette” from Sachsen.

And another of from Saxony. Really, I am trying my best to find some nice Bavarian ones, but they are not that easy to find, at least with a minimum of quality.

The First one, that I have shown in this “corner” can be seen in the following link. Once again, please have a look at our Blog, it is difficult to find so much Info in WW1 in just one place.

The following “mini-chain” contains the following decorations, with the “sächsische” Medals before any other, of course. Please remember, that in this type of “chain” or in the Medal Bars for Fracks, the order of importance was right to left, instead of left to right, as it would be with as normal “Ordensspange”. So… here they are:

– Friedrich August Medaille in Silber.
– Friedrich August Medaille in Bronze.
– Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse.
– Ehrenkreuz 1914-1918.

Although is a Miniaturkette for a NCO (The FA Medallien were given to those “Graden”), the quality of the same is quite high. The bronze one has still a really beautiful golden colour.

Little could we say about the person, who ordered this mini-chain. Also we cannot say, in which front he was, but as there is a lack of Austro-Hungarian medals, I guess, he was “only” serving in the west front (if that wasn’t already enough).

By the way, I am using the Picture from the Auktionhaus, where I won this Medal Chain, because it looks much better as the picture I can make…. As you can see.

So, looking forward to get more pieces to show you. Who knows, maybe I find a Medal Bar, that goes with the same combination as this mini. I wouldn’t say no to it.
