BANDOW’S BEST
This week on Bandow’s Best, I have a pretty unique and rare photo. According to the description written on the reverse of the photo postcard, these are men of the first General-Soldatenrat (Soldiers’ Council) in Germany.
It was men in such Soldiers’ Councils that ended up overthrowing the Imperial German government in November 1918 and played a significant role in the politics that followed Germany’s surrender.
