My first “Säbel”

***Antonio Wednesday’s Wonders ***
My first “Säbel”.
And I believe, it is going to be the last one… but it had to be from a particular Regiment: The Royal Bavarian 5th Field Artillery Regiment “King Alfons XIII from Spain”. To be honest, it sounds better in German: “5. Feldartillerie-Regiment „König Alfons XIII. von Spanien“”.
It is not in great conditions and to be honest and it was more expensive than expected. Still, I am really happy.
Well not much to tell. It is a beautiful “Säbel” model M1859 for Troop and NCO’s. I am not sure about the reason to get it. I mean, I guess it could have been purchased by the person after completing his 2 Years Mandatory service. Or it could be, that he was an NCO, who got into the reserve or retired. Not sure about it.
I will keep trying to get more Items from this particular regiment. Hope I can get my hands in a Waffenrock from this regiment. Or even a Bavarian Artillery Pickelhaube. Even better, a Bavarian Medal Bar with a Spanish Order or Cross in it.
