The first helmet shows some of the original light horizon blue finish from the factory under the darker over paint. The lack of rivets shows this helmet was manufactured by Japy. The liner is an early, one piece liner of black dyed leather. The second helmet is still in the original paint.Again, the lack of rivets indicates this helmet was manufactured by Japy. Most of the helmets I have encountered have been made by Japy. This helmet has a second pattern liner, with the head band cut separately from the tongues. The corrugated aluminum plates that are usually placed between the liner and the helmet often used to adjust the size are visible in this photo.
