Quite some great personal items and books have been posted lately, not least ins excellent blogs. Here is another one.

This is published in a series of books called Schützengraben : Bücher für das Deutsche Volk, trench Books for the German people. The title says a lot, it is called Englands wahres Gesicht eine Tyrannengeschichte, which translates to: England’s true face, a story of a Tyrant. The author is Ernst Bauer, and it was published in Berlin in 1917.

This book is small, only 45 pages and will fit in the pocket of a uniform tunic. It is intended to be read by soldiers (and others), to warn about the English.

It is, ideologically, a rather scary piece. Of course I cannot write about all the 45 pages here, but you get the gist of it from this: It states that the English, once of pure Germanic race, have been watered down by having been invaded by all sorts of degenerate races up through history, and they are therefore no longer racially pure. The rest follows from that, really, and it is further elaborated ad nauseam.

Well, as the Germans would say, even more fervently after reading this book, I suppose: Gott strafe England! Er strafe es! (May god punish England! He (shall) punish it!)
